The Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages (OBEWL) of the Viva88Education Department (Viva88) presents this final webinar in its 2025 Professional Learning Series:Ìý Ask Me a Question.Ìý This webinar is offered free of charge for world language educators and administrators working and studying in Viva88educational institutions.Ìý 1 hour of CTLE credit offered.
Webinar description: ÌýEngage students in leveling up from novice to intermediate proficiency and deepening learning by formulating their own questions about thematic real-world topics. A fundamental skill for moving from novice to intermediate is to be able to create questions. This webinar will provide some specific strategies to support students in developing this skill as they aspire towards the intermediate level.

Post-assessments
To receive a certificate of completion (including a CTLE certificate), NYS educators must view the recording of the webinar (see link above) in its entirety and then answer at least seven out of ten questions correctly on the post assessment.Ìý If the minimum required score (7 out of 10) is achieved, the educator will receive a certificate via emailÌýwithin an hour.Ìý For the convenience of our World Language educators, there are multiple versions of the post assessment available, should the required score not be achieved on the first attempt.Ìý Educators may take each version of the post assessmentÌýonce.

- Educators may take each version of the post assessmentÌýonce.ÌýÌýCredit will not be given for taking a single version of the post assessment more than once.Ìý
- Credit will not be given forÌýmore than one passing scoreÌýon any of the post assessments for a webinar (listed below)Ìýin a single academic year.ÌýÌý
- Educators may receive credit for viewing the webinar recording and passing a post assessment once in each academic year and are encouraged to take a different version of the post assessment on a yearly basis to review and test their knowledge of the webinar's content.Ìý
- It is the responsibility of the individual educator to keep track of the information on the professional learning they complete each year, including the number of CTLE hours.

Webinar presenter: ÌýRebecca Aubrey has over 20 years of teaching experience at the college level, and 15 years of experience teaching Spanish in grades K-8. As an advocate for equitable access to quality language learning from an early age, Rebecca has presented broadly on topics that include differentiation, target language use, thematic planning, and language proficiency. She is the 2019 ACTFL National Teacher of the Year, and has served as President of CT COLT, Executive Secretary for NNELL, and the PreK-8 representative to the AATSP Board of Directors. Rebecca also serves as an independent consultant for ACTFL and school districts across the country. Rebecca is passionate about exploring the cultural and linguistic diversity of our world, and equally passionate about empowering students to do the same.
